Owned by Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc., the oceanfront landmark is undergoing a complete metamorphosis—ushering in a new era defined by immersive design, cultural authenticity, and experiential luxury. When it reopens, the property will introduce Florida’s first Andaz hotel, marking a significant expansion for Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio in one of the world’s most dynamic leisure destinations.

A Reimagined Coastal Icon

The transformation promises far more than a renovation. Guests will arrive through a dramatically redesigned, barrier-free lobby that dissolves the boundaries between indoors and out. Two reconceptualized pools will anchor a revitalized outdoor recreation experience, while an elevated spa concept, thoughtfully redesigned guestrooms and suites, and artfully curated meeting spaces will reflect the expressive, locally rooted spirit synonymous with the Andaz name.

Rising from three beachfront towers, the hotel will debut Miami Beach’s first ocean-view check-in experience—an arrival ritual designed to immediately immerse guests in the rhythm of the Atlantic. Dynamic gathering spaces will include a lush restaurant terrace and a second-level outdoor Andaz Lounge, envisioned as a vibrant, bar-forward salon for both locals and travelers.
